Ranch Operations
The ranch has traditionally been a cow/calf operation and many of the surrounding properties are large historic ranches that are still operating as cattle and agricultural properties. It is highly suitable for horse and cattle grazing, availing the property with an ideal combination of prime recreational and hunting land, and also a traditional operating horse or cattle ranch. 2010 property taxes were $3,954.61 for the Headquarters Unit, and $633.98 for the Laramie Plains Unit.

Headquarters Unit:

The ranch has valuable water rights to irrigate approximately 300 acres. There are 130 pivot irrigated acres and 170 are flood and sub-irrigated. There is also a supplemental water right for 188 acres when there is an abundance of water in the Wheatland Irrigation District. Approximately half of the 170 pivot irrigated acres were reseeded with an alfalfa / grass mix in 2006, and the other half was reseeded in 2007.

Laramie Plains Unit:

The Laramie Plains Unit provides excellent summer grazing. The Laramie Plains Unit is owner rated at 150 to 165 cow calf pairs from mid May to November. The adjoining 580 acre BLM lease is the Flat Top Allotment #09186 and is rated for 132 AUMs.
