Ranch Operations
IX Ranch is located on the eastern slope of the Big Horn Mountains, known for productive rangelands, mild winters, and strong wildlife populations. The ranch is situated along approximately 1.25 miles of the North Fork of Crazy Woman Creek. There are approximately 355 acres of irrigated hay/pasture, with all but 35 acres watered by gravity flow big-gun sprinklers and 2 center pivots. In the recent past, the ranch has run approximately 180 mother cows, several head of horses and produced 1,000-1,200 tons of hay annually. There are five-main pastures, with much of the fencing up-graded or new. Water Rights
Water rights include 238 acre-feet of water stored in Muddy Guard Reservoir #2 and territorial water rights out of the North Fork of Crazy Woman Creek.
