At 8,472 acres, Birch Creek Ranch lies on the eastern slope of the Monte Cristo mountain range of NE Utah. Elevation ranges from 7,000 to around 8,000 feet. The topography is primarily gently rolling sage and mountain brush interspersed with healthy stands of aspen, open grassy meadows, mountain mahogany, and conifer forest. Dark timbered slopes flank the major Birch Creek and Sugar Pine Creek drainages.

The property is perimeter fenced and cross fenced. There are multiple private roads traversing the ranch allowing easy ATV and/or SUV access to most areas of the property. There are currently no houses or permanent dwellings on Birch Creek Ranch.


One of the great aspects of this property is that it is only 90 minutes away from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Literally from any spot in the continental United States one can leave home in the morning and be enjoying the ranch that afternoon; this is extraordinarily unusual for intermountain ranch properties.

The renowned Deseret Land and Livestock ranch is 6 miles south of Birch Creek Ranch.


The area enjoys a typical alpine climate with over 250 days of sunshine per year. Average summertime highs reach the low 80s, and in the winter lows average in the teens.
