Robinson Canyon Ranch is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Buffalo, Wyoming, at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. The ranch is approximately 3,664 total acres (1,904 deeded; 1,280 BLM lease; 480 State lease), with private access to thousands of acres of public lands for hunting, fishing, and other recreational opportunities. The ranch is situated at 5,200 feet, with towering canyon walls and slopes extending up to over 7,000 feet.

The ranch has a charming modern 3 bedroom/1.5 bath log home, a log barn/shop, historic log guest cabin, and several other outbuildings and log structures. The log home is heated by electricity and wood stove, and has phone service as well as satellite TV. The horse barn has three inside stalls, tack room, and a small day lot attached. Away from the main ranch headquarter site, there is another old log cabin, with various outbuildings and a newer steel Quonset shop.


Buffalo, Wyoming is the nearest town, a western town with modern shopping, restaurants, medical services, and is equipped with a private airport capable of accommodating most private jets. Commercial air service is available in Sheridan, Wyoming, 1 hour north of the ranch.


Annual precipitation ranges from 14-18”, with much of the precipitation occurring during late winter and spring months. Winters are mild, with average lows below freezing and highs averaging 35-45 F, December through March. Summers are pleasant with lows in the mid-50s, and highs in the 80s.
