Rivers and creeks
The North Laramie River and three other seasonal drainages flow through the ranch including, Spring Creek, Camp Creek, and Piney Creek. The North Laramie River meanders through the property for approximately two and one-half miles offering excellent fly-fishing for Browns, Rainbows, Brookies and Donaldsons. Stream enhancements were developed throughout the stretch of the river ensuring ideal habitat for fish.
Devil's Washtub waterfall
Piney Creek flows diagonally through the property forming the Devil's Washtub, a geologic feature (for which the ranch is named) appearing on USGS maps: a waterfall plunging into a 40 foot deep pool surrounded by granite walls.
Smaller streams and ditches
There are other smaller streams and ditches flowing through the ranch creating excellent sources of water for wildlife and livestock. The combination of timbered areas along the draws and ravines, and open grassy parks provide ideal habitat for many species of game and non-game wildlife.
Big game
Include mule deer, whitetail deer, pronghorn antelope, and some elk.
Game birds
Turkeys, sage chickens, and various other species of game birds have been seen on the property.
Horseback riding trails
The ranch has excellent trails for horseback riding.
Nearby national forest
The ranch is within one mile of thousands of acres of the Medicine Bow National Forest, providing outstanding wildlife habitat and backcountry recreational opportunities. 320 acres of BLM lands located within the ranch boundary have been leased by the ranch for years and further expand the ranch and its recreational uses. In addition to the Medicine Bow National Forest there are a number of other recreational opportunities near the ranch.
Nearby lakes
Guernsey and Glendo State Park with their large lakes are perfect for boating, fishing, and water skiing.
