The surrounding wilderness insures an ample wildlife population. The resident elk herd numbers in the hundreds, and mule deer are abundant. Hunting is restricted to the five owners and their guests. Hunts guided by the ranch manager often produce trophy animals. Fishing with dry flies for rainbow and brook trout is very good on approximately five miles of Vance Creek and in the numerous ponds. Miles of equestrian, ATV and snowmobile trails exist on the ranch and extend into the surrounding National Forest and Wilderness Area.
