The ranch is ideal habitat for trophy elk and mule deer, and has a diverse population of wildlife species including antelope, mountain lion, big horn sheep, wild turkey and bear. The North Laramie River meanders through a tranquil river bottom, and is an exceptional trout fishery. In addition, there are two streams, Rabbit Creek and Spring Creek, and 12 springs situated around the property. Between these streams, springs and the North Laramie River, the property provides excellent water and a sanctuary for wildlife. Wagon rut impressions run the river’s edge and remnants of pioneer structures are hidden throughout the acreage. The property is truly pristine, and has been an exemplary wildlife haven for many years.

• The ranch is designated as “crucial winter habitat” for big horn sheep and mule deer by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
  
• The property is within Area 7 for elk hunting, which is considered the premier area in the state for trophy bull elk. Records reflect bulls in excess of 400 points in the area. Given the trophy quality of the unit, it is difficult to draw a tag. However, the State currently issues two landowner licenses to the owners for elk and mule deer, offering a truly rare and unique hunting opportunity.
  
• The Game and Fish Department notes that the area also offers “optimal year-long winter range” for elk, mule deer and big horn sheep.
  
• The ranch and surrounding area have impressive bulls and bucks due to the quality of the forage that enhances antler growth.
  
• The river and creek corridors have good forbs production that provide ideal habitat for turkeys, and berry-producing shrubs draw in bear. In addition, sage chickens, and various other species of game birds have been seen on the property.

• The North Laramie River meanders through the property for approximately one and one-half miles before disappearing into the adjoining national forest. This river is a relatively undiscovered fishery producing some of the best fishing in the region with plenty of brook, brown and rainbow trout, many reaching 18 inches or more in length.
  
• Crossing through the property, the river enters the Medicine Bow National Forest, giving the owner of the ranch direct and private access to additional fishing and hunting on public lands.
  
• Stream enhancements could be developed throughout the stretch of the river ensuring ideal habitat for fish.

• The ranch and nearby area is rich with scenic beauty and endless recreational opportunities. There are incredible views of the plains to the east and Laramie Peak and the surrounding mountains to the west. The ranch and the thousands of acres of the adjoining Medicine Bow National Forest offer miles of excellent trails for hiking, horseback riding and ATV use and other outdoor sporting opportunities. One of the largest bodies of water in the area, Glendo Reservoir and State Park, is just east of the ranch. The lake is fed by the North Platte River and affords thousands of acres of surface water for boating and fishing. A little further downstream is Guernsey Lake and State Park with its unique geology and rock outcroppings, offering a more intimate recreational experience that includes scenic boating opportunities along its private coves.
