The OH Ranch is located in the heart of some of the best fishing, and big-game and upland bird hunting in the intermountain west. The Bighorn National Forest has world-class elk and deer hunting, fly-fishing on scenic mountain lakes and streams, countless miles of horseback and hiking trails, snowmobiling, and skiing.
Hunting
- OH Ranch sports a rich diversity of animals, for the hunter, photographer, and animal enthusiast. Elk, white-tailed deer, mule deer, turkey, pheasant, sharp-tailed grouse, Hungarian partridge, mountain lion, bobcat, coyote, and a variety of non-game birds and animals are often seen on the property and immediate area. The OH Ranch has been part of a strong game management program, including adjacent properties, which has boasted record class elk and white-tailed deer over the past several years. It would not be uncommon to regularly see 150”+ B&C white-tailed deer and occasionally 330”+ B&C elk on the ranch.
- The area of Trabing Creek within the ranch has been part of a world-renowned pheasant hunting operation for many years. The chokecherry and wild plum lined slopes and open meadows provide a perfect location for English style driven bird hunts.
Fishing
- For the fly-fishing enthusiast, the famed blue-ribbon fishery of the Bighorn River is less than a 2-hour drive from the ranch.
- Trabing Creek flows year-round and has a small fishery, of mainly brook trout. This area has many opportunities to create additional pond fisheries as well.
Horses
- For the polo and equestrian enthusiast, the Big Horn Equestrian Center and Flying H Polo Club are only minutes away.
