Turkey Creek Ranch - Colorado, Walsenburg

Fishing opportunities abound at Turkey Creek Ranch. Turkey Creek itself bisects the ranch offering small stream fishing that could be further enhanced. The property is also dotted with several spring-fed lakes which have been productively stocked with trout in the past. Trout up to 20 inches have taken successfully to these waters with some over-winter survival.

Elk, deer and turkeys frequent the ranch as well, drawn by the feed and cover provided by the irrigated meadows, cottonwoods and pinon-juniper/ponderosa ecosystem. The irrigated land could be modified or converted into food plots, further enhancing the property's already great wildlife habitat.
