Steamboat Rock Ranch is located along the visually-entertaining, hour-long drive on Hwy 287 between Fort Collins and Laramie, with the ranch’s namesake geologic landmark marking its general locale two miles east of the highway and five miles north of Livermore. The property varies in elevation from 6,000 to 7,000 feet. It includes upland native grasses, shrubs, and arroyos in the lower reaches, and piñon, juniper, and some scattered ponderosa pine in the upper reaches and on top of the plateau rim at the northern end of the property.Locale
Great restaurants and shopping can be found in the lively college town of Fort Collins, thirty minutes to the south, and Laramie (and I-80), approximately 45 minutes to the north. Denver and its international airport is a 90 minute drive from the property.
