Hunting: Little Piney Creek Ranch is situated along the eastern slope of the Big Horn Mountains, which are world renowned for trophy big-game hunting. Elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, and pronghorn inhabit the ranch year-round, with increased numbers in the fall. Through careful management and selective harvest, it is not unreasonable to expect to consistently harvest 330 bull elk, 140 white-tailed deer, 150 B&C mule deer. The property should easily qualify for guaranteed elk, deer and pronghorn landowner licenses. The property also provides great habitat and populations of Merriams turkey, sharp-tailed grouse, ruff grouse, blue grouse, Hungarian partridge and pheasant. Upland game bird populations could be further enhanced through strategic habitat development and land stewardship practices. Fishing: Approximately 1.5 miles of Little Piney Creek flows through the property, providing access to private stream fishing for brook and rainbow trout. The stream and fishing could be further enhanced by implementing a trail system, brush removal and selective habitat structures. Recreation: In addition to the tremendous hunting and fishing on the ranch, access to the Bighorn National Forest further augments the hunting, fishing and other recreational opportunities, including hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
