The high-quality wineries of Palisade, Colorado were highlighted in the national news over the weekend. The New York Times author, who took a three-day bike tour through Colorado’s fruit and wine country, put it best:
“No, this isn’t Napa or a wine section of France. This is the Palisade region of Colorado, a dry, sunny area on the Western Slope, and the winemaking hub of Colorado’s fledging viticultural industry.”
Check the Palisade area out, and get in on the ground floor. Some wine enthusiests are predicting this wine section on Colorado’s Western slope could be the next Napa Valley, especially if areas like California’s wine country fall victim to a warming climate.
