Mirr Ranch Group is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Whalen to its team of experienced and educated ranch brokers. Jim is well known in Wyoming from his 30-year career at the Office of State Lands and Investments, retiring as the Assistant Director for the Real Estate and Agricultural Loan Division.
According to Mirr Ranch Group Owner/Broker, Ken Mirr, “I have known Jim for over 20 years and his unsurpassed knowledge of Wyoming ranches, farms, and wildlife and public lands will certainly benefit Mirr Ranch Group and its clients.”
Under Jim’s leadership, the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments implemented many ground-breaking programs that are still in place today, such as land sale, exchange and acquisition programs, public access, emergency loans for replacement livestock, beginning agricultural producer loans, wind energy leases, and conservation easements.
Jim also worked with the Sonoran Institute before he received his Wyoming real estate license. He has been working with several ranch clients on state land exchanges and other related issues ever since.
“I am thrilled to be a part of Mirr Ranch Group. I have always been impressed with Ken’s high standards of professionalism, honesty, and integrity. This is not a brokerage that takes a cookie cutter approach to ranch sales. Mirr Ranch Group gives its clients the personal attention that they each deserve. The brokers are very knowledgeable and experienced and we share a passion that working ranches and open landscapes remain for future generations,” said Jim Whalen.
