Mirr Ranch Group ranch broker, Jeff Hubbard, has been hunting wild turkey his whole life. And now, according to an article in this week’s Denver Post, turkey hunting is the fastest growing hunting sport in the nation. In fact, “the number of turkey hunters nationwide has more than doubled the growth rate of the U.S. population since 1991.”
In addition to turkey hunting, Hubbard is a huntsman of all kinds. He is particularly passionate about archery elk hunting and wild quail hunting with his English pointers and setters. A few years ago, he even drew one of the coveted Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep tags, and had a successful run with the assistance of ranch broker and outfitter Pat Lancaster.
Hubbard and Lancaster specialize in evaluating and marketing hunting properties for sale. They offer a unique and valuable service to Mirr Ranch Group clients with decades of hunting and outfitting experience between them, especially with the demand for sporting properties these days.
“Many in the ranch real estate business consider fine hunting-oriented properties to be ‘the next big thing,’ – sort of like the way fishing properties were 10 years ago,” said Hubbard.
Tomorrow begins Colorado’s first of two annual turkey hunting seasons, so best of luck. If you’re interested in buying or selling a hunting property, please contact Jeff Hubbard and Pat Lancaster today.
