Ranch broker Ken Mirr just returned from a great week river rafting down the Yampa River with our friends at The Trust for Public Land. The trip even included a stop at one of Mirr Ranch Group’s sold ranches. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:
I recently joined a group of dedicated conservation folks and friends on a 5 day rafting trip down the Yampa and Green Rivers as they flow through Dinosaur National Monument. It was an epic adventure complete with whitewater, hikes and discussions about the history, river, water, wildlife, geology, archeology and other resources. Kudos to the staff and board of The Trust for Public Land and especially Jason Corzine for organizing and inviting me on the trip. The trip included new friends from The Nature Conservancy and the Conservation Lands Foundation. Over the past several years, I have spent numerous hours working, studying and learning about this area of Colorado and Utah. Having the opportunity to beach our rafts at the Mantle Ranch and meet the new stewards of land who we sold the ranch to was icing on the cake. Gotta love the West!
Mantle Ranch, one of our sold ranches, is a 525-acre inholding in Dinosaur National Monument. This ecological jewel offers miles of the Yampa River, canyons, crags, cliffs, scenic panoramas and intriguing archeological sites.
