Willey Ranch on Cebolla Creek

Willey Ranch on Cebolla Creek is located in rural Hinsdale County, Colorado and is situated in a remote private canyon surrounded by National Forest and BLM lands. The creek corridor on the floor of the valley contains pockets of privately held lands encompassing the stream and surrounding riparian area but otherwise this landscape is dominated by expansive alpine terrain including the Powderhorn and La Garita Wilderness Areas. The property itself is 160 acres and is bisected by Cebolla Creek that meanders for about 0.6 miles from south to north as well as County Road 50 which provides year round access. Approximately 15 acres are irrigated utilizing 2.36 CFS of water rights via the Staveley Ditch and Willey Spring Ditch. This irrigated area creates an open meadow along the western side of the creek. The southern end of the property is dominated by a steep slope and dense pine timber leading up to a cliff escarpment adjoining public lands. A vertical canyon wall abuts the western side of the property and at the base of this feature lies a small rustic cabin next to the road.
