Climate
Annual precipitation ranges from 14-16”, with most of the precipitation occurring during spring and again in fall months. A unique weather attribute for the immediate area is the Chinook (warm) winds that occur regularly during winter months, allowing for open pasture conditions and spring-like temperatures.
The Mydland Ranch provides habitat for a variety of wildlife, including pheasant, Merriam’s turkey, Hungarian partridge, sharp-tailed grouse, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, and mule deer. Several other species of non-game birds and small mammals can also be observed on the property. There may also be opportunities to foster a pond fishery in one of the existing reservoirs on the property. Other recreational opportunities include hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and photography.

The current ranch operations include livestock (cattle) grazing and hay production, both of which are leased to local neighbors.
