The ranch is located just minutes from town at the base of the Albion Mountains. This smaller mountain range, part of the Sawtooth National Forest, is home to the nearby Pomerelle Mountain Resort, which is one ridge over and a 20-minute drive from the Six-S. The 3,280 acres are ideally situated within a north-facing bowl. Upon entering the main entry to the ranch at about 5,000 ft, views of the surrounding ridgelines quickly come into view. These lower portions of the ranch contain over a thousand acres of pasture that’s grazed from spring through fall. Rising gradually up towards the center of the ranch, patches of new-growth and old-growth aspen dot the landscape. Land Creek and Marsh Creek, the 2 main drainages on the ranch converge here and are fed by numerous tributaries from upper regions of the property. The Marsh Creek drainage is thick with groves of aspen, pine, and fern which provide perfect cover for elk and moose. Rising even higher towards the Forest Service boundary are hillsides covered with vast stands of pine and open meadows. The abundance of water on the ranch is evident – seeps and springs can be found throughout the property. Upper portions of the ranch at 6,500 feet can easily be accessed through the Land Creek drainage. Numerous game and livestock trails plus unimproved 2-track roads make the entire ranch accessible.
About Albion
What was once a small settlement on the edge of the Great Basin, Albion is now a tight-knit community with a rich history and strong farming & ranching heritage. Home to the historic Albion Normal School that was built in the 1890’s this quiet mountain town strives to retain its rural character. No Starbucks or Chick-fil-A here, only hand-tossed pizza, homemade ice cream, and delicious barbecue. The local Burley Straw Maze and Albion Haunted Mansions draw visitors from Halloween to Christmas. The town of Burley, located on the Snake River, is an easy 25-minute drive from the ranch and Burley’s airport accommodates private aircraft and helicopters. Albion sits almost exactly between Boise and Salt Lake, both about a 2 and ½ hour drive from the ranch.

Paddleboarding and fishing are ideal at Lake Cleveland which sits just above the Marsh Creek drainage. Not far from the ranch, the famous City of Rocks National Reserve is a mecca for rock climbers and campers. Needless to say, the location of Six-S would serve as the perfect dude ranch for the equestrian types.
