- Redstone Reserve is located in the Redstone/Masonville area west of Fort Collins and Loveland CO in Larimer County, near the junction of County Road 25E and 38E. It is in the foothills/hogback country just southwest of Horsetooth Reservoir. County Road 25E is also known as Redstone Canyon Road; it bisects the property, separating the riparian area to the east from the more mountainous shrubland acreage to the west;
- Although only fifteen minutes to both Fort Collins and Loveland, the area has been largely preserved by Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins, with Redstone Reserve being adjacent to Horsetooth Mountain Park and Open Space and Culver Open Space;
- The large redstone-crowned mesa that serves as the backdrop to the property and its main residential area rises 850 feet over the property to the east, sheltering the property from the metro area;
- Redstone Creek traverses the property from north to south; it is a seasonal stream that supports a healthy cottonwood-lined riparian area;
- While the main operations of the ranch are located along the creek at a comfortable, four-season elevation of 5,400 feet, The Reserve is home to many elevation changes and orientations, and thus possesses a diversity of scenic resources and ecological communities, from foothills grassland, to mountain mahogany shrublands, to ponderosa pine woodlands, and desert cacti. - Horsetooth Reservoir is a popular recreational area for boating, fishing, and paddleboarding, and has beaches for swimming and picnicking, too; it is a five-minute drive from the property;
- Fort Collins is home to Colorado State University and a vibrant downtown filled with restaurants, shopping, music, and culture;
- The Northern Colorado Airport for private aircraft is 20 minutes away in Loveland, and Rocky Mountain National Park is forty minutes away in Estes Park.
