As seen in the Wall Street Journal, Mirr Ranch Group has a solid track record selling iconic Utah ranches

The Trees Ranch, one of  Mirr Ranch Group’s cherished properties to market and sell, was featured in a recent article in the Wall Street Journal about the many properties owned by the late Paul Allen. This southwestern Utah ranch is an iconic property practically surrounded by Zion National Park and other public lands.  Mirr Ranch Group sold the ranch to Mr. Allen a handful of years ago.

The article comes on the heels of the sale of another exceptional Utah ranch, the Wasatch Peak Ranch near Ogden. 20 square miles of pristine alpine terrain within Utah’s famed Wasatch Mountains, the Denver Post boasted this recreational haven as offering “more ski terrain than Vail.” The property sold in February 2019.

“Our sale of both of these important landscapes had to do with our reach, messaging, and positioning of the properties in the marketplace. Part of our branding strategy is really to determine who is the right buyer for a particular property and how to reach them. In the case of Trees, it was an ultra high net worth conservation buyer who appreciated its beauty and uniqueness. For Wasatch Peaks Ranch, we actually targeted someone who valued the properties amazing terrain, its 12,000 contiguous acres, and an opportunity to create one of the United States’ most exclusive and private ski areas. In other situations we may focus on the recreational uses including hunting ranches and fly fishing properties, or agricultural uses like cattle ranches or farms,” explained Ken Mirr, listing broker for both Trees Ranch and Wasatch Peaks Ranch.

MRG has a successful track record working with unique properties that adjoin national parks, and have significant ecological, recreational, topological, conservation, and cultural resources. The sale of Trees Ranch was named “Conservation Deal of the Year” by The Land Report in 2013, one of four Deal of the Year awards Mirr Ranch Group has received from the magazine of the American landowner. As Ken noted at the time of the award, “I’ve seen a lot of beautiful land, but this ranch is spectacular.”
