Location

The ranch is located in the heart of the San Juan Mountain Range, which boasts the highest concentration of 13,000-14,000 foot peaks in the United States. The town of Telluride is a historical landmark that gourmet restaurants, chic boutiques, and fine art galleries call home. Telluride proudly displays its mining town heritage with colorful Victorian houses and charming streets lined with clapboard and brick storefronts. Mountain Village, which is enveloped by the Telluride Ski Resort, offers a more modern luxury feel in a European-style alpine setting. The world-class Telluride Ski Resort has been voted the number-one ski destination in the world on several occasions. The quaint mining town of Ouray, approximately 40 miles away, boasts world-class ice and mountain climbing, as well as numerous hot springs, and great restaurants. Great commercial air service, restaurants, shopping, and health care are available in Montrose, which is approximately 55 miles away.

Recreation

Numerous recreational opportunities on the ranch include big game hunting, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATVing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The Ranch is located in Game Management Unit 70, which offers over-the-counter elk hunting tags, limited mule deer tags, and healthy populations of both species. The ranch qualifies for the Colorado Landowner Preference Program, which potentially offers additional landowner mule deer tags. Situated within a designated elk winter range, great big-game hunting and viewing opportunities abound. There is also a ¼ mile of Fall Creek frontage to try your hand at catching a few native trout. The ranch borders the nearly 1 million-acre Uncompahgre National Forest that contains the incredible Lizard Head Wilderness Area and numerous 14,000-foot mountain peaks.
