Mirr Ranch Group is pleased to announce The Land Report has named the sale of Caribou Ranch, a Colorado ranch in Nederland, as the 2014 Historic Deal of the Year in the Spring 2015 issue. Mirr Ranch Group ranch broker, Jeff Hubbard, represented the buyer in the transaction.
According to Mirr Ranch Group broker/owner, Ken Mirr, “Mirr Ranch Group has a strong track record of assisting our clients in buying and selling ranch properties with conservation values, and Caribou Ranch was no exception. My congratulations to Jeff and all others involved for making the deal happen.”
Originally 4,000 acres, a portion of the ranch was sold to The City of Boulder and Boulder County in the 1990s for a park and open space with conservation easements in place. Hubbard notes that the new owner intends to continue the ranch’s long-standing legacy of stewardship and will leave the Colorado ranch undeveloped.
Most are familiar with the iconic ranch for its place in music history, having been the site where famous artists such as Elton John, Michael Jackson, Chicago, Waylon Jennings and U2 recorded albums in the 1970s and 80s.
