Mirr Ranch Group is pleased to announce the sale of Snodgrass Trailhead, the northern 101 acres of the Promontory Ranch. This sold ranch boasts significant wetlands and wildlife habitat, and is the only public access point for the Snodgrass Mountain Trail. Due to its ecological and recreational significance, the Snodgrass Trailhead was purchased by Crested Butte Land Trust as part of a historic joint effort between Crested Butte Mountain Resort, the local community, and public and private organizations.
“Crested Butte Land Trust’s acquisition of the ranch is a perfect example of how businesses, individual donors, government entities, and non-profits can work together to conserve some of Colorado’s most important landscapes,” explained listing broker, Ed Roberson.
A conservation easement was put in place, public trail access was protected in perpetuity, and the entire property was conveyed to the Town of Mt. Crested Butte.
“All credit goes to the Mueller family and Ann Johnston’s team at Crested Butte Land Trust. Without their hard work, creative thinking, persistence, and patience, the many moving parts of this deal would’ve never come together,” added Roberson.
NEW OFFERING: With this sale, the Promontory Ranch now offers an extremely rare opportunity to own a sizable, 156-acre, undeveloped property adjoining one of North America’s most renowned ski areas, Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The ranch is zoned as a well-entitled Planned Unit Development, making it an ideal acquisition for a variety of investment-minded buyers.
