This week, Alex Taylor of The Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction wrote of his success in hunting “banded mallards” this year near the Colorado River, referencing a November 2007 National Geographic article regarding the study of migratory waterfowl. (See November 16, 2007 blog.)
Alex also offers his opinion on how “protecting the natural beauty of western Colorado” is something we should all be able to agree upon, once he contemplated the events of his hunt afterwards, and reflected on the tension between business interests and the environment in western Colorado.
